The Car

So a couple of months ago i bought a car to set up for this trip around Australia. I opted for the reliable Nissan Patrol GQ 1995. When i go this car it was completely stock and had never seen a day off road. I set to work and straight away took out the old stock suspension and put in 2inch King Springs with 1 inch spacers and also Raw shocks and steering dampner. I then took off the 31inch tyres and put on some new 33x12.5 Mickey Thompson ATZ 4ribs on some black steelies. Also put in a 1 inch body lift just to raise it up just that extra bit. Then i pulled off the old bar and took it to Mike at xlr8 and got a custom bar scrubs and sliders made up. We then put on a Safari snorkel and fitted in a VRS 9500 winch. Then on went the 3 Lightforce 240 Blitz spotlights with blue covers. Still working on stuff inside the car so will post up as we get it done so keep checking for more updates as we are leaving on the on the 6th of Feb

Lightforce have been good enough to help us out with a part sponsorship. We have gone with the three 240 Blitz spotlights and also got a 170 marine light. They have also provided us with a few stickers and shirts to further promote there company on our travels

Couple of pics from end of 2011

Got out in the boat just before new years we headed north of Perth too some ground that we have fished before. We fished in about the 30m depth for most of the day before going into the 12m range with our lighter gear rods and landing some snapper and a good size dhu. We have upgrade the boat trailer to suit the 4wd so when driving on and off road it handles much better
