Augusta-Parry Beach

So after we headed from Boranup in Augusta we went to go to Black point but when we arrived we saw that it was shut as there had been a bush fire and most of it had been wiped out. Then out came the map books trying to suss out another location. The next place was Windy Harbour which was ment to have good fishing so we headed there had a quick stop at the local skatepark for a roll then headed to the caravan park. We then found out the actual place we wanted to go was on fire so out the maps came again. We then headed to a place called Banksia camp were we stayed for a few nights. Plan was to hopefully head back to Windy Harbour but fires got out of control. Was a good few waves and fishing spots round Banksia but no reception so couldn't update blog. Next stop was Peaceful Bay were we got some real fun waves and a good day out on the boat fishing. We only hung around three nights as was pretty expensive. We are now at Parry Beach were we have got good waves around the area and a couple of good looking days for surf and fishing coming up. It is also real cheap and right on the beach. Next stop Albany. Keep posted for our next post

First day

We awoke in the morning after a good sleep and started to set up camp. After camp was set and we had kicked back for a few ours we loaded the car with surfboards, fishing rods and dive gear and headed down to the beach to see what was happening. Ben ended up going in for a dive while i flicked plastics off the rocks. We ended up with a nice cray and skippy and headed back to camp for a cook up

Finally on the road

Finally after years of planning and weeks of getting everything ready and together we hit the road Wednesday afternoon. The odometer read 317972 as we set off to clock up the first kms of the trip. Our first stop was Boranup in Augusta WA. We arrived to camp at about 10pm and  set up for a feed. We ended up just rolling out the swags for an easy night sleep and planned to set up camp the next day. We would like to thank Lightforce for there help with all our lighting gear, Sue and Reg at the Tyre Wizard for our set of Mickey Thompsons ATZ4 rib, Black steelies and also our tub of lead sinkers. Also Eddie at Peak Sportfishing in Exmouth for teaching me how to catch a fish.
